Introduction: Radiotherapy is the most common way to treat cancer. It seems that testicular tissue damage occurs due to radiotherapy treatment due to oxidative stress due to excessive production of reactive oxygen / nitrogen ratio and reduced antioxidant levels. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of endurance training with moderate intensity continuity on serum levels of malondialdehyde, total antioxidant capacity and testicular tissue structure in male rats under radiotherapy.
Methods: 24 male rats with an average weight of 221 g to four groups: healthy control, healthy endurance training, control under radiotherapy and endurance training with radiotherapy. After 8 weeks of endurance training, mice were described and testicular tissue was isolated for stereological and serum studies for measuring oxidant and antioxidant agents. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA test in SPSS software. Results: After 8 weeks, endurance training was significantly different between serum malondialdehyde surfaces in the studied groups (P = 0.001). Similarly, there was a significant difference between the total antioxidant capacity of the four groups (P = 0.001). In the case of testicular structure, some factors were significantly different from the estimation of sprinkling (P = 0.001), volume (p = 0.001), length (P = 0.016) and diameter of seminal tubes (p = 0.001).
Conclusion: The present study showed that 8 weeks of endurance training with moderate severity have a significant effect on serum levels of malondialdehyde and total antioxidant capacity and the testicular structure of male rats under radiotherapy.
